Hamptons

Because of my upcoming trip to the Hamptons, I thought I should share some of my favorite Hamptons-inspired looks and pieces. The Hamptons is a different world with a unique style of its own. It is a mix of the classy Lilly Pulitzer look I have always loved with a touch of nautical on the side. It is easy, breezy, and so effortless (even if we do put a lot of effort into the look).

I definitely plan on rocking my giant sun hat that I got last year from Target for ONE DOLLAR! To dress it up for the occasion I think I am going to tie a fun ribbon around the top. A splash of color is always a good thing!

On days when color is just not part of my mood (this happens a lot), I plan to style black and white with a Hamptons twist. Black and white is always a classy, put-together look that no one can ever go wrong with. I love how this outfit is summery, but the cardigan allows her to wear it into the breezy nights.

I bought this LC Lauren Conrad Striped Halter Maxi dress last summer and fell in love instantly. It's not your typical cotton maxi dress (chiffon fabric) which allows me to dress it up for a nice dinner or throw on a jean jacket and go to the mall. It has attachable straps, but the halter look is the most flattering in my opinion. I am hoping there is a time when I can wear this dress during my trip. It is one of those pieces in my closet that instantly makes me feel beautiful and every girls needs a piece like that!
